Prov. 29:26 "Many seek the rulers favor, but justice comes from the Lord."
You see leaders are the folks who are responsibile for protecting justice, in the culture they are to maintain.
However, ultimately is administered by God,
Here are a couple of verses to remind us of this fact:
Prov. 16:11 "The Lord demands accurate scales and balances; He sets the standards of fairness."
Prov. 28:5 "Evil people don't understand justice, but those who follow the Lord understand completely."
Some years ago Becky & I had the privilege to serve in a church in Olympia, Wa. And we met many dignitaries in that state. One of those men was the man who was responsibility for the proper care for weights & measures.
One day he invited me to visit the very center of these measurement instruments. In order to walk into the room, we had to put on a robe, booties, gloves, and masks. The entry way had two sets of two doors. First set we needed to stop between them, then the next set we did the same. This proceedor was put in place to protect any potential contamination of these instruments.
Next he picked up a weight with a sterilized set of tweezers, in which he measured its weight, you get the point, this was an intricate process. His role was to protect the accuracy of all measurements for the state.
