Challenge:
Psalm 94:15- "Judgement will again be founded on justice, and those with virtous hearts will pursue it. 16 Who will protect me from the wicked? Who will stand up for me against evildoers? 17 Unless the Lord had helped me, I would soon have settled in the silence of the grave. 18 I cried out, "I am slipping!" but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. 19 When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. 20 Can unjust leaders claim that God is on their side--leaders whose decrees permit injustice? 21 They gang up against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. 22 But the Lord is my fortress; my God is the mighty rock where I hide. 23 God will turn the sins of evil people back on them. He will destroy them for their sins. The Lord our God will destroy them."
Today let's focus our thoughts on these last few verses;
What to do when:
Verse 18 Times when you think you are falling
Verse 19 Inner doubts fill your mind
Verse 20 Unjust leaders establish laws that allow justice to prevail
Verse 21 Unjust leaders attempt to gang up on those who are innocent
Next we find out how to respond to these circumstances:
Verse 22 Turn to the Lord to be our protection: our fortress; our rock, our place to hide
Verse 23 Ask God to turn the evil back on wicked people, and cause their sins to be recognized,
SO GO WITH GOD for He has the antidote to any of these challenges. He holds the solution to each struggle that attempts to overtake our very soul. Now take a minute and read over the attempts that our enemy often strives to wreck our trust in the living God.
Now that you have selected the attempt that hel the enemy, is striving to capture your confidence with. Next, remind yourself, that our Lord is your protection. He stands as that impenetrable fortress. Finally lay out these concerns which have achieved bringing doubt, uncertainty, fear, to the place of attempting to defeat your mind and heart. Now that you have recognized these thoughts that have captured your thinking. chain this last promise found in this Psalm to your heart.
You may ask how do I do that? Simple! Start by yelling out this last phrase: "The Lord our God will destroy them." Now pray it out loud to our All Mighty God. "Lord our God will you please destroy them." Next, tell your nearest friend this, "The Lord my God has destroyed them. (my enemies) Now one final thing: Take a few minutes to listen & sing along with Russ Taff singing Praise the Lord.
Reflect often throughout this time, "The Lord our God will destroy them."
