How Do We Gain Insights Into Life?

Way to go everyone you all got it right, The tallest building was the Willis Tower. By the way Chicago is the third largest city in the U.S. with has 1,397 high rise buildings. The Willis Tower stands 110 stories high and by the way was named The Sears Tower and it stands 1,451 feet tall.

Which company introduced the first mass produced inflatable balloon tire? Firestone Tire Company; Goodyear Tires; Bridgestone Tires; Michelin Tires? Make your guess.

Challenge:

Psalm 119:97-104 “Oh, how I love your instructions! I think about them all day long. 98 Your commands make me wiser that my enemies, for they are mu constant guide. 99 Yes, I have more insight than my teachers, for I am always thinking of your laws. 100 I am even wiser than my elders, for I have kept your commandments. 101 I have refused to walk on any evil path, so that I may remain obedient to your word. 102 I haven’t turned away from your regulations, for you have taught me well. 103 How sweet your words taste to me, they are sweeter than honey. 104 Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life.”

This 13th stanza focuses on two main themes—(Mem) understanding and actions. The psalmist explains the insight that he has been given by Yahweh. Then he recounts the most central directions that have been passed onto him by meditating throughout the scriptures.

Today let’s focus on the last two verses of this stanza, “How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey. 103 Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life.” The scriptures point out what the very essence (basis) of these false thoughts. You see we can be assured that “God’s desire is always to enrich, and build up our lives.” this fact is always proven to be found in Him. Any ungodly religious words that don’t have this intention, we can be assured are false ways; or evil paths.

In fact, to go even further, all of the raw intelligence in the entire world, whether it is from the wisest of teachers, or even those who have lives many years, falls short, of the wisdom of the Bible. According to verse 98 even that person who is unlearned in the worlds teachings, will be better equipped when he daily meditates on the wisdom/principles of the scriptures.

Verse 99 promises that if a wise person becomes complacent in seeking out God’s truths, he will soon be passed up by those unlearned people who constantly meditate on the Word. You see verse 100 states that it’s not the age, or intelligence that matters, but rather ones obedience to God that results in true wisdom.

SO GO WITH GOD for He is more concerned with our OQ (Obedience Quotient) than our IQ (Inteligence Quotient). Verse 101 encourages us to refuse evil ways but to instead turn too following His WORD. Or as verse 9 says it so clearly by, “Taking heed to your word.”
