Trivia:
Well the sloth is the slowest mammal in the world, and we witnessed seeing this in our last adventure cruise, they even eat slowly. This three-toed mammal is so slow that even algae grows on coat of hair, and their metabolism is so slow that they only need to eat a few leaves each meal.
Do you know which species of tree is most commonly used in the making of baseball bats? Pine; Oak; Maple; Spruce?

Psalm 93:1-5 "The Lord is king! He is robed in majesty. Indeed, the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. 2 Your throne, O Lord, has stood from time immemorial. You yourself are from the everlasting past. 3 The floods have risen up, O Lord. The floods have roared like thunder; the floods have lifted their pounding waves. 4 But mightier than the violent raging of the seas, mightier than the breakers on the shore--the Lord above is mightier than these! 5 Your royal laws cannot be changed. Your reign, O Lord, is holy forever and ever."
This Psalm and 95-100 all celebrate God's kingship over the world. Many today question the existence of God, however, aside from the sun and the moon, the oceans are the most powerful force in our world and they stand as a reminder of His loving oversight in our lives.
Just think where did all of this water come from? The only logical conclusion we can come up with is that it was the result of a world wide flood that the Bible records as being under the control of our mighty God, which even today surrounds the earth. Also much of it is held captive in frozen tundra in the Artic (North Pole). Of which even today scientist are still overwhelmed with its immensity as well as its necessity, for unless it is held in God's hand frozen form it would return to food the entire earth's surface. .
The ocean is also under the control of our mighty God, the tides being under the total control of the sun and the moon, which are demonstrated through its movement of the tides. Jeremiah 31:35,36 affirms these constellations as being held under the control of God, "It is the LORD, who provides the sun to light the day, and the moon and stars to light the night, and who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is the LORD of Heaven's Armies, and this is what he says: I am as likely to reject my people Israel as I am to abolish the laws of nature!"
Even this massive creation testifies to the eternal reign of God, and in verses 5 confirms the controls of God over all the earth and all peoples on the earth. He makes clear His stable control (rule) over all of the earth (our home). Through this reality He reveals His stable, trustworthy, merciful, handling of all the earth.
Just think what the ocean would be like if He through the tides didn't stir the waters of the ocean, they would become stagnant and soon become lifeless. What the air would become like without the influence of the ocean, without the coastal breezes, and the cooling and warming that these breezes cause the earth to be refreshed by.
So as we stand here gazing into the sunny sky if by day and the cool refreshing stars if by night we can't help but give thanks for God's many provisions for each of us each moment of the day. For as the verse in Jeremiah reminds us, the laws of nature stand as a reminder of His stable, gracious handling of our lives each day. He will not reject us His children, rather He places these controls in our lives through His creation, as a standing reminder of His care and love for us.
SO GO WITH GOD for He daily is placing His loving hand in our lives, and by His creation He is reminding us of just how much He cares for us. How many times that He is ministering to our needs, through His stable control of our world. My child, rest in His love and care for you, and be assured of His constant protection for you.
